As we hurtle into the 21st Century I think it’s fair to say that the gay community have long deserved the arrival of a genuine new mega star and Adam Lambert may just be that guy. Bursting onto the scene thanks to his strong run through American Idol where he was pipped at the post by some irregular behaviour by sponsor AT&T which saw some clean cut Christian boy take the crown. Since then Lambert has been grabbing headlines thanks in part to his kissing a male band member on the mouth at the American Music Awards which seemed to both shock and excite a confused nation. With a reputation firmly growing, his debut release For Your Entertainment has arrived and it is every bit the theatrical, glam rock experience we were hoping for. Lambert’s voice is a genuine gift, more exciting even than his persona. This guy can sing like no-one else. Campy, over the top personal style and a voice crafted in the heavens has delivered to us our first new gay rock star of the new millennium.
