Way Out West, or WOW to their fans, are a groundbreaking dance act. They’ve been huge stars in the scene despite having only released three albums since 1997. Their sound has gradually evolved from straight club tracks to dance tunes with a more conventional structure incorporating the vocals of a number of female singers that has added to their appeal and procured some of WOW’s most charming moments. New album We Love Machine is their ode to the classic analogue synths of the 1990’s and the beautiful music that’s made with them. We Love Machine is their best album to date because it’s a coherent set but also their most polished so far, capturing a dreamy vibe full of lush arrangements, most evident on the lovely One Bright Night, the album highlight. First single Only Love has beats reminiscent of Pump Up The Volume though the vocal is more of a classic house delivery. We Love Machine adds to WOW’s reputation as fine purveyors of dance oriented music.
